Early days in server

When I first joined Microsoft as an individual contributor, I designed several User Experience patterns (Dashboard, Navigation, Command Bar) as the team was pivoting from a console - MMC - that had been in use for many years to a framework of patterns.

These design patterns shipped as WPF controls with Active Directory in Windows Server 2008 R2. Their creation allowed several teams in the server space to update their own experiences including System Center, Active Directory amongst others.
